Abstract

In the article, the authors explore the role of soft skills in the training of social educators. The authors analyzed the activity of a social pedagogue and his significance in the modern education system. Based on the analysis, relying on the regulatory and legal documents of the Republic of Kazakhstan, socio-pedagogical activity in the modern rapidly changing world is particularly relevant. The changes taking place in the world, trends put forward certain requirements for the preparation process. In this regard, the presence of hard skills is no longer enough to achieve professional success, there is a need for soft skills. In the article, the authors analyzed the genesis of the development of the term soft skills in science, presented a classification of the definition of this term and identified their structure. The authors also analyzed the existing foreign experience of universities in the development of soft skills. Based on all the results obtained, the authors, relying on the theoretical methods of pedagogical science, identified possible steps, ways of developing soft skills in the process of training social educators, and also identified soft skills necessary for the development of the educational program "Training of social Educators" among students. A comprehensive analysis of the activities of social educators allowed us to identify the following soft skills: management skills, emotional intelligence, customer orientation or problem solving skills, professionally oriented communication skills, self-management skills, organization and planning skills. Thus, the development of soft skills is effectively carried out in the process of professional training of social educators, which increases the role of these skills, since they contribute to professional success.
