Abstract

This study investigated the role of implementing role-playing games as game-based learning to improve speaking skills of English language learners. Game-based learning is an approach that combines educational methodologies with interactive learning to enhance learners’ engagement, motivation and interest. As a result of quasi-experimental study, it was revealed that the experimental group had significant improvements compared to the control group. The study underscores the effectiveness of role-playing games.
