Abstract
The article discusses the possibilities of using case technology in teaching biology, presents the results of studying a lesson using case technology when studying the topic "cellular mechanics of DNA repair", defines didactic principles based on TBL case technology, and shows the stages of working with TBL case in biology lessons. This technology is based on a set of certain didactic principles: Firstly, a problem-type educational task is created, focused on a practical situation; secondly, there is no unambiguous answer to the cognitive problem question, but there are several answers that correspond to the degree of reality. The use of case technologies in the educational process contributes to the development of students' thinking, perception, increases educational motivation and stimulates students' cognitive interest, but serious long-term preparation and, of course, a longer time is required to prepare the teacher for the lesson.TBL case technology is an effective learning technology that develops students' thinking and engagement skills.
