Abstract

The article examines the dynamics of coastline changes in the Northern Caspian Sea from 2016 to 2024 based on remote sensing and cartographic data. It identifies key transformation directions, highlighting areas of active erosion and accretion. The study considers natural and anthropogenic factors influencing these changes, including fluctuations in sea level, climatic conditions, and economic activities. The results help assess the environmental and socio-economic consequences of coastal zone transformation. Additionally, the study provides recommendations to mitigate negative impacts on the Northern Caspian Sea ecosystem, aiming to balance environmental sustainability with human activities in the region. The findings contribute to better coastal management and long-term ecological preservation.
